Have you ever thought of your mind as a physical space one with many worlds waiting to be explored? 

Artist Izzy Paez delves into the liminal spaces between the subconscious and the waking mind, using active imagination and dream worlds as tools for exploration. Through the manifestation of surreal landscapes and fantastical figures, she searches for comfort, healing, and meaning from within. These spaces, often elusive and transient, act as portals where the boundaries of self are fluid, offering the artist a way to engage with different facets of her identity. Izzy's alter egos—ranging from self and childlike representations to clowns, devils, and animals—serve as both guides and embodiments of internal conflict, vulnerability, and transformation. Each figure is a vehicle for navigating these dreamlike realms, embodying not just personal exploration but also universal themes of growth and self-discovery. The series itself is a documentation of these liminal spaces, inviting viewers to access and reflect upon their own internal landscapes, engaging in a shared process of introspection.
